Will I Need To Stay Elsewhere While an Elevator is Being Installed?

Like any home improvement project, installing elevators for residential projects has the potential to be loud and possibly a little messy. Because of this, there are a few things to take into account when deciding whether to stay at home or go elsewhere during your elevator installation.

Location

Where your elevator shaft is being built for your residential lift in Ontario is an important thing to keep in mind when deciding whether to stay at home or not. If the elevator shaft is being constructed inside, it may be loud and dusty, but otherwise not too bothersome. However, if the elevator shaft is being added onto the exterior of the home, part of the outer wall will be being cut away, exposing part of the home to the elements until the new addition is built and walled in. This can cause uncomfortable temperatures during extreme cold or heat, so if your elevator will be on the outside of your home, you may want to consider staying elsewhere while it is being installed, or at least while the elevator shaft is being built.

Noise

One of the things you will need to consider about the Vertechs elevator installation is the noise. During the building of the elevator shaft and the installation of the elevator, there will likely be several people working in your home, talking, and using power tools. All of this has the potential to be a little noisy. This may not bother some, but if you are used to a quiet home, or if you work from a home office and need some peace to get work done, the noise may be too much for you. If you think this may be the case, plan ahead for another place to stay in case it becomes necessary.

Health Concerns

For most people, the building of an elevator shaft and installing elevators in Florida poses no health risks at all, but for a small portion of the population, they may be better off being away from home while any construction is happening. The dust, sawdust, and other particles kicked into the air that the construction might cause could potentially pose a health risk to those with breathing problems or allergies. If you think this may apply to you or someone in your family, staying with friend or family or in a local hotel may be a better course of action for you while your elevator is being installed.

Pets

Do not forget about the furry members of the family when planning your elevator installation! As with any construction project, your Vertechs elevator installation will mean that there will be people coming and going, carrying in equipment and tools. This leaves a lot of opportunity for a beloved pet to slip out the door, or even out through a hole in the wall if your elevator shaft is being built on the outside of your home. Because of this, pets may need to be relegated to a different part of the house or kept with friends or family during the installation, to make sure that they are kept safe.
